Shea Galloway is a professional horse trainer,
and has competed in “A” rated shows here in the US and overseas for a
number of years.
She has shown several horses to top
awards in local organizations. Shea began riding at the age of eight
with Cindy Troy of Snowdon Inc. in New Jersey. She then moved to
Houston and rode with Pam Hunt of Hunt Farm in Hempstead, Texas. Shea
began competing locally when she was 12 with her horse, Ripplestilskin.
She competed in AHSA (USA Equestrian) jumpers and equitation under the
guidance of Kam McDonald, Liza Richardson, and Holly Shepherd.
Shea studied Equine Science and Management at Berkshire College of
Agriculture and Buckingham Chilterns
University in England. While in
the UK she competed in British Show Jumping Association competitions
with trainer, Paul “Seamus” Adams.
Upon returning to Texas, Shea started as a working student with Tammy
Ogle of Willowbrook Farm. She continued showing with GHHJA, USA
Equestrian, and GCWPA. Shea gained her professional status in 2002.
